SkinPen

with exosomes for extra collagen building super power

face + neck + chest

SkinPen® was awarded “Top Rated Treatment for Acne Scars” and “Top Skin Care Device” in the Aesthetic Everything® Aesthetic and Cosmetic Medicine Awards.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that helps minimize the signs of aging, improve the appearance of acne scars and rejuvenate aging skin. The SkinPen® microneedling device causes controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process. The micro-injuries trigger the release of cytokines and growth factors that lead to remodeling of collagen and elastin.

treatment areas

  • As you get older, your body doesn’t produce as much collagen and elastin as it did when you were younger. These substances are necessary for sustaining healthy, young-looking skin. Without enough of these proteins, your skin will begin to sag, wrinkles will form, and you’ll start looking older than your years.

For anyone starting to see the signs of collagen loss and aging exosomes with micro-needling is a revolutionary non-surgical cosmetic treatment that can address many skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin texture. The treatment involves using tiny needles to create microchannels in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.

  • The principle of exosomes treatment for under-eye bags and to get rid of dark circles is essentially the same. Exosomes cause a cascade of healing that targets several causes of dark under-eye circles at once.

Firstly, exosomes encourages collagen production, which plumps your skin and makes it more elastic. Plumper skin can fill out dark hollows and make them less noticeable while also making your skin firmer and thicker.

Exosomes can also encourage the growth of blood vessels which can wash away fluid that can cause eye bags, while also making existing blood vessels more elastic and less prone to breaking and bruising.

  • Given that most people between the ages of 18 to 30 get acne, it is typically considered the bane of puberty. However, some people can continue to get acne well into their 40s and 50s. And, exosomes for acne scars can help. While acne by itself is an annoying condition, the marks and scars left behind can cause the skin to look severely flawed. It can also take away from a person’s confidence.

If you’ve been dealing with the damage caused by acne, you’ll want to look for some solution that can restore the flawless look of your skin. Exosomes acne scar injections can erase the scars and help you get back clear skin. But, does PRP treatment work for acne scars? Read ahead and find out.

Exosomes works on targeted facial flaws because it contains a concentration of platelets, growth factors, mesenchymal stem cells, cytokines, and other components the body creates. These compounds have the ability to heal injuries and ailments of any kind anywhere in the body.

Exosomes for acne scars also has the ability to attract both hard and soft tissue-forming cells to the treatment site. When placed a millimeter into your skin in the scarred areas, the serum can cause the underlying layer of collagen and elastin to regenerate and create new cells. As the skin plumps up, the scars vanish like they never existed.

  • As with all skin, factors like genetics, extreme weight loss, collagen and elastin breakdown, and sun exposure can affect how your neck ages. However, there are additional factors that can act specifically on the neck to make it look older than the rest of you.

Thin, weak, and delicate skin and muscle cover the neck. Year after year, twisting, stretching, and the pull of gravity and any pockets of subcutaneous fat have a cumulative aging effect. Most people notice neck skin beginning to sag and wrinkle around the age of 40. That’s also when underlying platysmal muscles start to detach and loosen, their edges showing through thinning skin as vertical bands from the chin to the collarbone.

  • Tech Neck wrinkles are lines that form across the neck from repeatedly looking down at our handheld devices. The neck is particularly susceptible to this type of repeated motion because the skin in this area is thinner, more delicate, and has fewer oil glands than the face does. Add in aging factors like a reduction in collagen and elastin and these lines can become even more noticeable.

Exosomes injections in the horizontal neck lines are an excellent treatment for addressing fine lines and wrinkles in this region for optimum rejuvenation. Exosomes contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production when injected into the skin. By stimulating new collagen production, exosomes helps tighten loose skin around the eyes to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles like crow’s feet, while also eliminating bags underneath the eyes.

  • Chest wrinkles, also called cleavage rhytides, sleep creases, or décolletage wrinkles, are skin creases that appear on the upper chest between the neck and upper abdomen. Chest wrinkles start out as dynamic lines or creases that result from certain body movements and positions such as sleeping on your side. With aging, these dynamic lines and creases gradually lose their ability to resolve after body movements and can eventually become static and visible at rest. Chest wrinkles can vary in severity from superficial fine lines to deeply furrowed creases, which become more challenging to treat.

Wrinkles result from the overall decline in elastin and collagen, which are proteins responsible for providing the skin with its structure, firmness, and elasticity. Several factors contribute to this decline in elastin and collagen.

Exosome injections in the decollete are an excellent treatment for addressing fine lines and wrinkles in this region for optimum rejuvenation. Exosomes contains growth factors that stimulate collagen production when injected into the skin. By stimulating new collagen production, exosomes helps tighten loose skin on the chest to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

about exosomes

what are exosomes + microneedleing

Exosomes are nanoparticles released by nearly all cells in the human body, and skin cells have their very own kind of exosomes. They contain various lipids, proteins, amino acids, peptides, growth factors, and genetic material.

Exsome therapy involves the application of topical exosomes (in the form of what looks and feels like a serum or gel) after treatments like resurfacing lasers or microneedling. I like to think of exosome therapy as the cherry on top of in-office treatments because it can only be done in conjunction with one — never on its own.

That's because, although exosomes are nanoparticles, they cannot penetrate skin on their own. They need those disruptions in the superficial layer of skin to start communicating with skin cells. Otherwise, they'd just sit on the surface of your skin doing nothing.  This is also the reason why over-the-counter serums and creams aren't spiked with exosomes just yet.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that involves applying a microneedling stamp to very fine needles to the skin. The needles create tiny channels (microscopic injuries) in the skin that trigger the skin’s natural healing response. As a result, microneedling induces the formation of new collagen and elastin in the skin. That’s why it is also called collagen induction therapy. By promoting the formation of essential skin proteins collagen and elastin, microneedling can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The technique involves using different needles for different purposes. Stretch marks treatment requires the use of slightly longer microneedles that can penetrate midway through the dermis.

how do exosomes benefit the skin?

As we get older, our skin cells start to atrophy, and our bodies produce fewer exosomes — similar to how we experience a decrease in collagen production.  This leads to fine lines, wrinkles and loose or sagging skin.  Exosome therapy allows new exosomes to come in to help wake up inactive skin cells and older exosomes so they can get back to work to repair, strengthen, and rejuvenate skin.

In the process, exosome therapy increases collagen and elastin production, improves wound healing, and decreases pigment production.  As a result, skin becomes plumper, firmer, brighter, and smoother. You'll be able to see improvements within two to six weeks following the treatment.

Exosome facial rejuvenation can increase skin collagen in the treated areas by up to six-fold and also increases elastin levels by up to 300%. The increase in the collagen and elastin levels will result in: Visible reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

Exosome facial rejuvenation can increase skin collagen in the treated areas by up to six-fold and also increases elastin levels by up to 300%.

The increase in the collagen and elastin levels will result in:

  • Visible reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots

  • Improved skin brightness and hydration

  • Noticeable decrease in redness and skin irritation

  • Improve the appearance of skin lesions and scars

  • Noticeable improvement in skin texture and pore size

  • SkinPen® works by creating a series of hundreds of microscopic channels into the dermis to stimulate the skin’s natural production of new collagen and elastin, helping skin to look and feel healthier. SkinPen® needles cycle at 100+ stamps/second, potentially creating 1600+ microchannels per second when moving the SkinPen®.

  • Microneedling can be performed using SkinPen®, a medical-grade, state-of-the-art microneedling tool available only through medical professionals. The treatment typically takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size and number of areas treated and the degree of treatment requested by the patient.

  • The length of the treatment can depend on the individual’s needs. Typically, you will only need 15 to 30 minutes to complete the process once you have sufficiently numbed.

  • SkinPen’s® variable needle depth allows for maximum versatility, making it safe and effective to use on many parts of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, hands, knees and back. Talk to your SkinPen® provider to discuss your specific needs.

  • Because there are some side effects, you might want to give yourself 2-3 days before going back to your regular schedule. Especially for your first time. Everyone's skin responds differently. Most patients are fine to go back to work the following day with some redness.

  • Most patients report minimal pain and the slight vibration of the SkinPen® during the treatment. The needles used are very sharp and fine, allowing the benefit of puncturing your skin without the feeling of any tugging or pulling. To manage any discomfort, we will use a topical cream applied to the treatment area for 10-15 minutes.

  • The total healing time depends on each individual. Most patients have some slight swelling and redness/pinkness (like a mild to moderate sunburn) for two to four days following the microneedling procedure. Some people may see their skin return to normal in about 24 hours.

  • Your skin will continue to improve over the weeks and months following your treatment. Because microneedling treatments stimulate your body into producing collagen, and elastin, as well as new skin cell and tissue growth, you need to give your body time to produce all of these great regenerative elements. The natural repair process of your own skin continues to progress through the course of several weeks. Damage that has occurred over an extensive period of time won’t disappear immediately. You may not see the final result for up to six months following your final session.

  • You should not get SkinPen microneedling if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have low platelets or a bleeding disorder, if you have an active sunburn, infection or open lesions in the treatment area. Patients on “anti-clotting” medications (like Aspirin and other blood thinners) or who have certain autoimmune disorders should discuss treatment with their prescribing physicians.

You are not a candidate if you are currently on Accutane or have been in the last 6 months.

  • This is the fun part! After being treated with SkinPen microneedling, your skin will be refreshed, revitalized, and enhanced. Over the course of several weeks, new layers of collagen will begin to plump and volumize depleted skin contours, firming up your complexion so it appears more youthful and smooth. The skin’s overall tone and texture will be superior to that which you began treatment and acne scars will begin to diminish.
